Whether you're a current member or simply want to know more about what's happening and how you can get involved then this site has it all.

Originally established in 1924 and affiliated to St Johns Church at Carlinghow, now under it's present name of Carlinghow Theatre Company, we have produced over 85 musicals (and several plays). With currently some 70 members and 12 Honorary Life members we are committed to providing opportunities for local people to participate in, and to see, musical and theatre performance in local venues at affordable prices, at the same time raising funds for charitable organisations.

Our membership comprises all age groups (both adults & children) with various ethnicities and backgrounds (professional and social). Being affiliated to N.O.D.A. (the National Operatic and Dramatic Association) we abide by their Rules and Bye-Laws (and also have well established policies for such important issues as Equal Opportunities and Child Protection). Over many years, our company has achieved an excellent reputation locally for producing professional standards of family entertainment, and we have received glowing reviews for previous productions.

We have a very enthusiastic and dedicated bunch of individuals who work as one team and contibute in so many ways to making the company what it is today. That doesn't mean we aren't always on the look out for new members. If you've ever wanted to be involved in amateur theatre, then Carlinghow Theatre Company is the place to be. Our main rehearsal nights are Monday's and Wednesday's at The Northern Academy of Arts based in the Redbrick Mill shopping complex on Bradford Road in Batley and perform two shows a year, a pantomime in January and a musical in September.
